Morden day retelling with more then a twist, loved the heart stopping, moments, I loved the play on words with J.O. Yep,be ready to be wrecked! This story was so good, as it brings the old and new worlds weaved so well together, to so much travesty that leads to these family blowing up from the inside out. Shakespeare even had his ending to the story just brings it together more.

I think if they were families from competing gang or Mafia members then it would have made more sense. And wouldn't convincingly lead to mortal fights. I think it would worked better if they were much younger where they were dependent upon their parents so the threat and fear of their parents are more palpable and realistic.ģ) The conflict seemed forced. And apparently still afraid of being cutoff from their inheritance despite having their own successful careers. They're both in their late 30's and still living with their parents.

Movie directors or anyone in the entertainment business who's not progressive or do anything immoral or unethical will get the boot, no matter how famous or how successful they were. I think the idea of having a movie director (Julian's father), living in San Francisco who's a homophobe doesn't work. There were some things that didn't work for me:ġ) The setting of the story. It has all the categories of the original version: tragedy and comedy. Romeo and Julian is a modern, gay version of the famous Shakespeare's play. Will they survive it?
